Policies & Procedures

BOOKING POLICIES

​

  • All Rates are subject to HST including CASH payments.

  • A non-refundable deposit for each person requiring services must be received in order to secure any bookings. Bookings work on a first come first serve basis with a deposit given.

  • Prices are subject to change at any time. Rates are only guaranteed if stated on the estimate you receive from us (must not be expired) or if a deposit has been received for your services.

  • If you or anyone in your party is 20 minutes late (or more) and the artist is left with no one to work on; then the artist may have to cut services to be able to finish on time. The client will then lose out on their total cost of their services that they have pre-paid for, or a late fee charge of $50 may apply to each client who is late. In this type of situation it is up to the artists discretion depending on their other bookings for that particular day. To avoid this, PLEASE have your entire party present at the start time of your booking.

  • We cannot be held accountable for any allergic reactions that may occur during or after the makeup application or hair styling caused by products. This is why we suggest a trial, to test that the ingredients in our products agree with you.

  • The remaining balance on your invoice is due 1 week prior to your event booked with us. This applies for all Mobile bookings, as well as In-Studio bookings if your group is of 3 persons or more. Overdue payments past the due date will be charged $25 per day late.

  • Once the deposit has been accepted; no services can be deducted from the invoice. Doing so will result in a loss of the deposit that you paid towards those specific service(s) you are wanting to have removed. After it has been paid, the deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances leading up to your event. If time allows and you wish to add services, we always try to be accommodating in this regard given we have the availability to do so.

  • If a case of an emergency arises or something occurs beyond one of our staff members control (e.g extreme sickness, car accidents) and we are unable to send the artist you have initially booked with us, then we will send another qualified hair or makeup artist to the job. If for some rare reason that is not possible then a full refund of the total you have paid will be paid back to you for those service(s) that weren’t able to be fulfilled.

  • If a wedding is being forced to cancel due to a state of emergency such as natural disaster or global pandemic then we will grant a complete date transfer, pending availability for the new date. Should we not be available on your new date an in store credit will be issued in the amount of the initial retainer. Rebooking costs may be associated.

  • All photos/videos taken by any artists from Soniya's or the photographer on the day of the event may be used for promotional use (e.g social media, portfolio, website). You can however request, via email, to us that no photos/videos be used for any publications. To opt out of the publishing of any footage taken by any of our artists, please submit a request via email to info@soniya.com

SPECIFIC IN-STUDIO POLICIES

  • If you are 20 minutes or more late to your appointment, then you may lose out on your appointment and on the deposit given to secure it. If we are still able to accommodate your booking, you may be charged a $50 no-show/late fee at the artists discretion. Please note we are typically booked back to back and do not have the flexibility to honour late clients.

  • For single person appointments, a flat amount of $80 used as a deposit toward your services is required to reserve your date and time with us. If you cancel your services for any reason, either fully or partially, then this deposit will be kept as a cancellation fee.

  • For bridal or group bookings we require a non-refundable and non-transferable 50% deposit that goes toward your services on the day of your event.

  • For booking of 1-2 persons your remaining balance is due at the time of your event, in person at our studio.

  • We generally reserve weekend mornings (Friday -Sunday) for bridal parties or groups of 4 or more. However, please inquire further because we always like to accommodate our clients if and when possible depending on your date and time request.

SPECIFIC MOBILE POLICIES

  • A minimum booking of 4 people is required for any mobile bookings. Unless for Bridal. This is subject to availability, and minimums may apply. Please inquire further.

  • Travel fees will apply for any and all locations aside from Soniya's (4410 Mayflower Dr. Mississauga, ON). We have a base travel fee of $75/per requested location & an additional $1.00 per/km both ways will be applied. This will be charged per staff member assigned to the booking.

  • If there shall be any parking/toll fees, then these are to be paid for in cash on the day of the event. This can be given directly to the staff assigned to your booking. This is to be paid by the person who has booked our services.

  • Destination Brides - All travel, accomodation, & food expenses are and will be billed to the person who has booked our services. Please inquire further for any travel.

BRIDAL TRIAL POLICIES

  • Trials are offered Tuesday -Thursday from 10am-8pm at our studio (5:30pm being the last appointment start time since trials can take anywhere from 2.5-4 hours).

  • In order to book your Bridal Trial; we require your credit card info. In the event where you cancel your weekday trial with less than 48 hours notice then you will be charged an additional $100.00 as a cancellation fee. Same applies for weekday Engagement Shoots.

  • Friday-Sundays are NOT available for trials. Since trials are very lengthy, on the weekends we are strictly booked for weddings and/or special event bookings only.

  • Booking a trial does not secure your wedding date & time. Only an accepted deposit does. However, following your trial, you will be given a 3-day grace period to decide if you would like to move forward with booking our services by means of a deposit. During that time there will be a soft hold on your date.
